I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions. If you keep up with them, they are a great way to make changes in your life. Most of the time, they lead to disappointment. Good intentions and high energy come crashing into Real Life.

So instead of resolutions, I’m setting some gaming goals for 2011:

  • 2 blog posts per month
  • Become more active at my local FLGS
  • Paint 2 battle boxes
  • Paint 2 complete 35 point armies. One for Khador and one for Mercs.

With Warmachine, the new Iron Kingdoms D&D campaign I’m DMing (more on this in a future post), and a whole new Warhammer 40k army to create, I should be able to come up with at least 2 posts per month.

I have already painted much of the Khador box for my Gen Con army. I still need to paint Sorscha. I also have the Magnus the Traitor box set that has been staring at me for a couple of years at least. I can easily use those models in a future army.

The Dayton area is blessed to have 2 great stores. I usually game at home with my friends, but I want to get more experience, play with more people. It’s always nicer to game with painted minis.

All of these steps lead me to my last goal for 2011:

  • To apply to become a Press Ganger
